SAM Mitchell has returned to the field after hurting his lower left leg in an injury scare for West Coast.
The Brownlow medallist’s leg buckled after teammate Jack Redden clipped the joint while attempting to lay a tackle 11 minutes into the second quarter.
Mitchell had to be helped from the field by two Eagles trainers.
He limped into the player rooms for treatment, but returned to the boundary line just before half time.
The midfielder returned to the action to start the second half in the forward line.
The 34-year-old is viewed as crucial to West Coast’s premiership chances after joining the club from Hawthorn in a shock trade move at the end of last season.
The Eagles led by 12 points at half time.
