Sounds like the family’s doing just fine.
The Fast family had a surprise for CinemaCon on Wednesday.
During Universal’s presentation at the Las Vegas convention, the audience of theater exhibitors and a few lucky journalists were treated to a full screening of the franchise’s latest film, Fate of the Furious.
Star Vin Diesel was on hand to present the latest Fast feature, along with director F. Gary Gray and co-stars Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Kurt Russell and franchise newcomer Charlize Theron.
The night before, Disney screened the entirety of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, leading to generally favorable reactions. Fast 8, which hits theaters April 14, seems to be garnering the same levels of positive response.

tfw you realize learning you were going to see Fast 8 early was better than actually having seen it

The best part of #Fast8 is mosdef Jason Statham interacting with a wee babe.

THE FATE OF THE FURIOUS features some great action set pieces but I think I may be too old for this franchise, which just isn’t the same now

#fateofthefurious is exactly what you buy your ticket for. A few fun “so bad they’re good moments” and Statham has a movie-stealing scene

The Fate of the Furious takes the ridiculousness of the franchise to a whole new level, yet feels very different. Should be a gigantic hit.

I adored every ridiculous, silly, charming, absurd, fun second of The Fate of the Furious.
