Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel Kept Apart on ‘Fate of the Furious’ Press Tour1:42
Last August, Universal insisted ‘The Fate of the Furious’ stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Vin Diesel had buried the hatchet after feuding on the set of the eighth film in the franchise. Fast-forward eight months, and the bad blood continues.
BEEFING beefcakes Vin Diesel and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson have decided to finally make nice.
The Fate of the Furious stars reportedly met in private several times following an on-set feud last summer and are no longer furious with one another. And both actors are “1,000 percent in” for the next installment of the franchise, according to TMZ.
Insiders claimed that the feud was a result of a clashing of egos over who was the actual star of the movie, with Johnson, 44, conceding that Diesel, 49, had top billing because he was listed first on the call sheet.
In August 2016, Johnson made their bad blood semi-public in a thinly-veiled dig on Instagram, writing, “My female co-stars are always amazing, and I love ’em. My male co-stars however are a different story,” he wrote. “Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken s**t to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses … when you watch this movie next April, and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling — you’re right.”
Johnson was reportedly frustrated with Diesel’s alleged lack of professionalism and frequent tardiness to set.
Reps for Diesel and Johnson didn’t immediately return a request for comment.
