Wright will play an FBI agent in the New Line comedy.
Westworld star Jeffrey Wright has joined Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams in the New Line comedy Game Night.
Kyle Chandler, Jesse Plemons, Kylie Bunbury, Lamorne Morris and Billy Magnussen are also on the call sheet of the comedy feature that is being directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley.
The script revolves around a group of couples who gather for their regularly planned game night when something goes terribly awry. Goldstein and Daley wrote the script, with previous drafts written by Dana Fox and Mark Perez.
In a story in which characters may or may not be who they seem, Wright will play an FBI agent.
The movie will be a light turn for Wright, who is better known for his dramas.
Wright, who played Beetee in the Hunger Games movies, is the mysterious programmer Bernard Lowe on HBO’s sci-fi show Westworld, which has been renewed for a second season. The Emmy-winning actor is wrapping up filming Hold the Dark, a dark thriller from Green Room filmmaker Jeremy Saulnier. He is repped by CAA.
Game Night begins shooting April in Atlanta, with a release date of Feb. 16, 2018.
