LATINO magicians Nicolas Martinez and Diego Castro and fellow attacking wizard Milos Ninkovic are locked in a battle for the News Corp Australia’s A-League player of the year award heading into the final round.

Western Sydney’s Martinez (36 votes) leads Castro and Ninkovic by three, ensuring he well be a joint winner at least — the Wanderers travel to Adelaide United on Saturday night.

Ninkovic will lead Sydney FC into battle against struggling Newcastle Jets on Saturday, before Castro’s Glory hosts Melbourne City in the round’s decisive final game on Sunday night.
