Brendan Meyer, Harley Quinn Smith and Sam McCarthy are also among the cast of Melissa B. Miller Costanzo’s debut feature.
Molly Ringwald, Brian d’Arcy James, Jemima Kirke are set to join Melissa B. Miller Costanzo’s debut feature All These Small Moments.
The OA‘s Brendan Meyer, Yoga Hosers‘ Harley Quinn Smith and Sam McCarthy (son of actor Andrew McCarthy) are also among the cast.
All These Small Moments centers on a teenage boy named Howie (Meyer) whose infatuation with a woman (Kirke) he sees on the bus further complicates his already tumultuous adolescence. Ringwald and d’Arcy James play his parents, while McCarthy plays his younger brother and Smith plays his classmate.
The feature marks the screenwriting and directorial debut of Miller Costanzo, who has worked in the art department for over a decade on films like David O. Russell’s The Fighter, Lee Daniels’ Precious and James Schamus’ Indignation. It is produced by Moving Pictures Artists’ Lauren Avinoam and Jed Mellick, and Vineyard Point Productions’ Katie Leary. Production is underway on location in Brooklyn and the film will debut in 2018.
Ringwald, well-known for her roles in John Hughes’ movies including The Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles, has most recently been seen in the indie movie King Cobra and on The CW series Riverdale. d’Arcy James, of Oscar winner Spotlight and the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why, next returns to Hamilton on Broadway as King George III, a role he originated in its off-Broadway run. Kirke, of HBO’s Girls, is seen next in the indie film The Little Hours with Alison Brie and Dave Franco.
Miller Costanzo is repped by UTA, Ringwald is repped by Barking Dog Entertainment and Untitled Entertainment, d’Arcy James and Meyer are repped by Gersh, Kirke is repped by CAA, Smith is repped by WME and Moving Pictures Artists, and McCarthy is repped by Liebman Entertainment and Paradigm.
UTA is handling the domestic sales rights for the film.
