I thought I might need a break and it worked.” Alex Glenn (achilles soreness) and Korbin Sims (foot) have also been cleared. The Broncos have lost fringe first grader Jai Arrow (thumb) for six weeks. Centre Tom Opacic suffered an injury in his comeback game for Redcliffe on the weekend. Both are expected to play, but won’t get final clearance until Friday morning. Joe Greenwood has been cleared after two concussions. Tyrone Roberts (broken toe) remains in doubt, while Daniel Vidot also missed captain’s run.

“Out of 21 named I’ve got 19 fit, so they’re all here this morning,” said coach Neil Henry prior to the team taking to the training paddock. “Tyrone Roberts will train and we’ll see how he’s going with his toe as well and we’ll make a decision later on. Chris McQueen is right to go, [Chris] Grevsmuhl’s fine, Ryan Simpkins is fine, Dan Sarginson has had a run, we’ll make a decision on whether he can play or not so we’ve still got a couple of players up in the air but hopefully they all get through and we’ve got a couple of extra players. [McQueen] has had a bit of a sore back and he’s training this morning so we’ve got a bit of an extended squad. He’s saying that he’s good enough to play. Medically [Greenwood] is right to go so we have to make a decision on whether or not it might be him or Max King with the makeup of our bench.”

Coach Craig Bellamy typically played down his players’ chances on Thursday morning. “We’d like to think they (Munster and Bromwich) are a chance.” Bellamy said. “Munster is going to do a bit of contact today, he hasn’t done any contact at all. So we’ll see how he goes. Jesse will only be very light again today. If he’s real stiff we’ll probably pull him out today. If he’s not too bad we’ll give him until Friday.”

“We didn’t think Cheyse earlier in the week was any chance but he’s improved more than what the medical staff thought. We’ve got a long turnaround after this so we’re not going to take any chances with anyone.”
