NUPENG Threatens Industrial Action Over Poor Welfare

Pipeline Security: NUPENG Recommends Re-engagement of Ex-MilitantsThe Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas workers, (NUPENG) has threatened to go on an industrial action, starting from Monday, April 3.

The Union says that the tanker drivers’ arm will withdraw their services due to poor working condition.

The National President of NUPENG, Mr Igwe Achese who made this announcement in Lagos says the grouse of the drivers is security, welfare package among others.

Mr Achese further noted that the Federal Government had ignored the complains of the union which led to the commencement of the strike.

He therefore called on government to urgently intervene in the matter.
