As Nigerian workers in all sectors of the nation’s economy today, May 1, observe this year’s Labour Day, nationwide, the Chairman, Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Bro Felix Obuah, has joined other well-meaning Nigerians to wish the workers a happy celebration, congratulating them on their resilience in the face of the biting economic challenges and deceptive policies of the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led federal government.
The PDP Chairman particularly congratulated the Nigerian workers in Rivers State for their commitment to duty and support to the Gov Nyesom Wike-led government, in reciprocating the friendly working environment and welfare packages offered by the government.
Bro Obuah believes that such harmonious and symbiotic relationship could not have been possible without the maturity, commitment to civil responsibilities and spirit of patriotism exhibited by the workers, the government and other employers of labour.
While commending such productive relationship, Bro Obuah appealed to the workers not to relent in discharging their respective services diligently and with utmost devotion and high productivity to spur the employers’ befitting welfare packages and to enhance economic growth and development in the country.
Bro Obuah also reiterated the continuous commitment of the PDP- led government in the State to offering a conducive working environment to all public and private sector workers and to pay workers salaries and other entitlements as at when due.
‘Once again, congratulations to all workers’.
