A COUPLE of perfect rounds last week from Paul Kent and Matt Logue has the top five tipsters battling it out for supremacy.

This weekend could make or break some with a couple of close match-ups shaping as ones that could separate the leaders.

Follow Phil Rothfield, Dean Ritchie, Michael Carayannis, Matt Logue, Paul Crawley, Barry Toohey, Christian Nicolussi, David Riccio, Nick Walshaw, James Phelps and Paul Kent throughout the season for advice and tips.

Have they got it right for round eight or are some of them way off the mark?

ROUND 8 FIXTURES: Raiders v Sea Eagles, Rabbitohs v Broncos, Eels v Panthers, Cowboys v Knights, Sharks v Titans, Wests Tigers v Bulldogs, Roosters v Dragons, Storm v Warriors.

   Michael Carayannis’s top tips:

   Score so far: 38

No brainer: The Sharks at home against a luckless Titans side.

Upset: Roosters to beat the top of the table Dragons. It’s been a while since both teams were in the top four leading into an Anzac Day game. Should be a cracker.

Coin toss: Penrith and Panthers. Neither side has played at their best for a prolonged time.

   David Riccio’s top tips:

   Score so far: 38

No brainer: Cronulla are into the groove now and will be too good for the Titans, even with Hayne, Proctor and Hurrell in the squad.

Upset: Roosters to edge the Dragons in an Anzac Day blockbuster.

Coin toss: Can the Panthers bounce back against the Eels after last week’s mauling to the Sharks?

   Paul Kent’s top tips:

   Score so far: 37

No brainer: Raiders over the Sea Eagles.

Upset: I think the Knights can get an understrength Cowboys.

Coin toss: Parra and Penrith, hard to pick.

   Nick Walshaw’s top tips:

   Score so far: 37

No brainer: Never bet odds on, run up stairs backwards or tip against Melbourne at home.

Upset: None. Although the Knights will get no better chance to win a game this year than the Cowboys without JT.

Coin toss: Eels/Panthers. Good luck guessing which team, on both sides of halfway, turn up for this one.

   Matt Logue’s top tips:

   Score so far: 36

No brainer: The Raiders will be too good for the Sea Eagles in Canberra.

Upset: It won’t really be an upset given the proven ability of the Roosters, but the Chooks beating the table-topping Dragons on Anzac Day is my tip.

Coin toss: The Panthers versus Eels western derby will be tight. Expect a desperate Penrith side to win a close one.

   James Phelps’s top tips:

   Score so far: 34

No brainer: The Sharks to continue their stunning premiership defence by belting the Titans.

Upset: The Rabbitohs will trouble the Broncos if they play for 80.

Coin toss: Roosters and Dragons are always evenly matched on ANZAC Day. But this year they would be evenly matched on any day.

   Dean Ritchie’s top tips:

   Score so far: 32

No brainer: Sharks have found form and will be too good for the Titans in the Shire.

Upset: If they can maintain the fight of last weekend, the Eels might edge the badly underperforming Panthers.

Coin toss: Hard to remember a more highly anticipated Roosters-Dragons Anzac Day showdown.

   Barry Toohey’s top tips:

   Score so far: 32

No brainer: Sharks at home will take care of the Titans.

Upset: Expecting the Knights to give it a big shake in Townsville.

Coin toss: The Eels/Panthers derby will be tight.

   Paul Crawley’s top tips:

   Score so far: 31

No brainer: Canberra over Manly at home

Upset: Can’t believe Dragons outsiders against Roosters

Coin toss: Every game this week

   Phil Rothfield’s top tips:

   Score so far: 30

No brainer: Raiders to destroy the Sea Eagles on Manly’s left side which was so exposed last week.

Upset: Warriors to knock off Storm

Coin toss: Roosters and Dragons will go right down to the wire, possibly golden point

   Christian Nicolussi’s top tips:

   Score so far: 29

No brainer: The Storm will have too much class at home against Warriors.

Upset: Souths had their chance against a Dogs before wheels fell off, and it won’t happen again this week.

Coin toss: Roosters and Dragons both playing top footy. What an Anzac Day clash.
