The untitled comedy pitch was acquired by the studio, and is set to be written by Andy Mogel and Jarrad Paul.

Like TV father, like TV son.

Will Ferrell is attached to star in an untitled comedy pitch that was acquired by Paramount as a washed up TV star that reunites with his now grown and very successful TV show son, played by Jason Momoa.

Andy Mogel and Jarrad Paul, who created the Rob Lowe sitcom The Grinder, will pen the feature that will be produced by Nick Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Neighbors) and Ferrell’s production shingle, Gary Sanchez.

Momoa will next be seen in the Justice League movie, after which he will have his starring turn in the Warner Bros./DC’s Aquaman stand-alone. Ferrell is due in theaters this summer, appearing opposite Amy Poehler in comedy The House, after which he is set for the Daddy’s Home sequel with Mark Wahlberg — both Gary Sanchez projects.

The Ferrell-Adam McKay headed production shingle has a variety of buzzy projects in various stages of development, including musical comedy Holmes and Watson and a Christian Bale-starring Dick Cheney biopic from McKay.

Momoa is repped by WME. Ferrell is repped by UTA, Mosaic and Jackoway Tyerman. Mogel and Paul, who also wrote the Jack Black indie The D Train, are repped by UTA.
